Premier League side Everton have snapped up midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson just as the this season kicks into flow, with Swansea now looking to use the money to step up their chase of Joe Allen of Stoke City. The Swans value Allen £20 million but have money in place to go higher having already lost Gylfi Sigurdsson for a record fee.

It was widely known that the player was keen on joining the Toffees this summer so manager Paul Clement took steps to plan his replacement. The coach refused to confirm reports flying around that Stoke City are refusing to sell the former Liverpool man but he opened up on the Sigurdsson situation ahead of the transfer.

Everton agree deal for Swansea City attacker

Premier League club Everton are reported to have finalised an agreement to sign Swansea City playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer.

The Iceland international played a pivotal role in the Swans' attack last term, contributing nine goals and 13 assists en route to their 15th place finish.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has already shown his intent to propel the club into the Champions League places after having recruited six players including Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford and Wayne Rooney - who have earned respect at their former clubs.

Wayne Rooney urges Everton teammate to stay at the club

Everton's new signing Wayne Rooney has urged Ross Barkley to stay put at Goodison Park this summer.

The 23-year-old has snubbed a fresh Toffees contract, and this has heightened speculation over his future in recent weeks. Barkley showcased some of his old form during the previous campaign, but his reluctance to sign a new contract beyond 2018 has put the Toffees in a tough situation in the transfer window.

Premier League side Everton have concluded the deal of Michael Keane from Burnley, according to reports in England. The deal could rise up to £30 million as Coach Ronald Koeman continues with his restructuring and reinforcements at Goodison Park.

The England centre back reportedly received a five year package from the Toffees, which makes the 24 year old one of the best paid at the club - the 24-year old is more than pleased with the deal, adding that he is focused on development.

Everton favourites to clinch the services of Burnley defender

Premier League club Everton reportedly hold the advantage in the pursuit of highly-rated Burnley defender Michael Keane this summer.

The 24-year-old has moved a long way since his permanent switch from Old Trafford in January 2015. Keane proved to be a key performer for the Clarets last term as they managed to beat the Premier League drop by a considerable margin.

Sunderland have agreed to sell its goalie Jordan Pickford to Everton FC in a reported 30 million, the BBC reports. The player is on international duty with the Under 21 side as they prepare for the European Championship. Pickford is expected at Goodison Park where he would do his medicals and complete other details after the assignment.

The 23-year old has broken the British record with the deal. His 29 Premier League games last season was enough to convince Everton that he is worthy of the tag. He joined Sunderland academy back in 2010 and played in loan spells at several clubs.

Everton FC are seeking to add new talents to its ranks this summer, according to reports. Ronald Koeman has been linked with a top European talent: Davy Klaassen of Ajax.

The Mirror claims the Dutch tactician wants his compatriot Klaassen to join him at Goodison Park as they play European football next year. There were reports that Wayne Rooney could return to his boyhood club for emotional reasons as he enters the latter stages of his illustrious career.

Ronald Koeman Admits Dream of Coaching Barcelona One Day

Ronald Koeman has admitted that his dream remains to coach Barcelona, and he plans to fulfil this dream in the next couple of years.

This comes as a major disappointing news for Everton, who have been left impressed by the Dutchman. However, his Barcelona connections made him as one of the key options for the Catalan club to replace Luis Enrique in the summer. The manager has already announced his exit from the club at the end of the campaign. The likes of Jorge Sampaoli, Ernesto Valverde, and Ronald Koeman have been linked with the vacant managerial job at Barcelona.

Everton Were Disappointing Against West Ham, Admits Koeman

Ronald Koeman has admitted that Everton were far from the best in the match against West Ham during the weekend.

The club may have continued their unbeaten run to 4 games, but they could only secure a goalless draw with the London outfit. It was yet another poor performance from the team in an away match. Everton have managed just one win in the last eight of the games. In contrast, they have managed seven consecutive victories at the Goodison Park to remain in the sixth place. Everton did not produce any conviction going forward and this allowed West Ham to keep a second clean sheet in the last three games.

Ross Barkley Should Be Part of Everton’s Future, Claims Koeman

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has surprisingly claimed that the club will do everything in order to keep midfielder Ross Barkley at the club.

Only a few months ago, the former Barcelona man was highly critical of the 23-year-old and his attitude. The sea change has been brought about byBarkley’s impressive performances over the last few weeks. Even though the midfielder may have not got much goals in the last 10 games – in fact only one in the 6-3 win over Bournemouth,Barkley has contributed immensely when it comes to assisting other players.
