NEVILLE CHOOSES COACHING

Everton captain and versatile midfielder Phil Neville has become a coach at the England under 21 level, thus forming the basis and foundation for his future career in management.

The 35-year-old is coming to the end of his career in football as a player.

BOLTON STRUGGLE IN THE CUP

All the excitement and the elation of the FA cup could come to an end if Bolton Wanderers are knocked out in the third round of the FA Cup.

The manager, Owen Coyle, was confident and sure that with their current performance levels, they should have been able to snatch a win, but they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Macclesfield.

Silva sends City back top

A David Silva goal was enough to fire Manchester City back to the top of the Premier League.

PARDEW PRAISES DEMBA BA

Whilst everybody else is complaining at how difficult it is to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, Alan Pardew has a smile on his face - his team are above all other challengers for the title, and remain the only unbeaten team after 10 matches in the Premier League!

Arsenal were tonked 8-2 before turning it around with a 5-3 victory over Chelsea recently, Liverpool have struggled to score goals, and Tottenham wobbled viciously at the ery start of the season, all of which has allowed Newcastle to stake their claim for the third spot in the table.

United have not disclosed the fee for Hernandez, but he is believed to have cost somewhere in the region of £6-8m.

Liverpool / Everton Sport City Talk Fail

A TOP-LEVEL meeting has failed to deliver progress on new stadia for Liverpool and Everton football clubs.

LFC chief executive Christian Purslow and his Everton counterpart Robert Elstone sat down with city council officials and Liverpool University yesterday, at the instigation of the university. Liverpool FC made clear the club is committed to building a new £400m ground, despite its problems raising finance to fund the 60,000-seater.
