Championship club Hull City have decided to sign former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce as their new man to lead the club.

The club recently sacked Nick Barmby from his position after the former midfielder made some ill-advised comments about the owners of the club. Steve Bruce has been out of work after being sacked by Sunderland midway through the season.

DISTIN SAYS SORRY

Everton defender Sylvain Distin has said that he is extremely sorry for the back pass, which was the cause for the late goal by Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final between the two clubs recently.

Sylvain Distin has already won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008.

He had the chance to help David Moyes celebrates his 10 years at Everton by lifting the FA Cup this season, but a catastrophic error by the Frenchman led to Liverpool scoring the goal in the dying minutes of the game, which eventually proved to be the winner. Following the match, Distin apologised to the Everton fans.

MANCINI PREDICTS TEVEZ RETURN

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that there is every possibility that Carlos Tevez will return to the first-team action for the match against Chelsea.

Manchester City will be facing Chelsea on Wednesday, and it is currently one of the crucial encounters for the club in the race for the Premier league title.
