ANDRE GOMES PICKS HIS BEST XI

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has picked his best XI and it includes the iconic duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who have 11 Ballon d'Or titles between them. Barcelona superstar Messi has won six Ballon d'Or titles, while Juventus player Ronaldo has five Ballon d'Or titles.

Andre Gomes, 27, is on the list of an exclusive club that has shared the dressing room with both Messi and Ronaldo. It is not surprising that he has picked both players in his best XI. He spent two years at Barcelona between 2016 and 2018 where he linked up with Lionel Messi.

Gomez has played constantly with Cristiano Ronaldo during his international career. He has played 29 times for Portugal with his finest hour coming in the European Championships some four years. URonaldo and Andre Gomes were part of the Portugal squad that won the tournament in France.
Veteran Juventus goalkeeper Gianlugi Buffon made the goalkeeper slot for the Andre Gomes’ best XI. The retired Italian international shot stopper is marshalled by the quartet of Leighton Baines, FC Porto star Pepe, Paolo Madini and Cafu in defence.
The Leighton Baines pick is an interesting one. The Everton legend left the club in the summer after his contract ended. He's regarded as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League era. Baines scored 39 goals and also provided 67 more in his 420 appearances for the Toffees. The ex-Wigan Athletic player also earned a spot in the PFA Player of the Year in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons.
Andre Gomes picked current Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane in his midfield alongside former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta. Busquets is still at the club, while Iniesta is in Japan with Vissel Kobe.
Brazilian football legend Ronaldo joins Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in attack as far as the best XI named by Andre Gomes is concerned.
