EVERTON EYEING JANUARY RAID FOR ISCO

Merseyside giants Everton have been linked with a transfer swoop for Real Madrid playmaker Isco ahead of the January window. Various media reports in the United Kingdom have revealed that Isco could follow James Rodriguez to Goodison Park in the coming weeks.

Everton are one of the clubs on the trail of Spanish international Isco and the club's fans would be hoping that the influence of manager Carlo Ancelotti is enough to secure the signing of the Real Madrid playmaker. Carlo Ancelotti pulled his weight with the signing of James Rodriguez in the summer and the Colombian international superstar has been a major hit in the opening weeks of the new Premier League season.

James Rodriguez has scored three goals in eight appearances in the Premier League. Everton paid £20m to secure the signature of the Colombian playmaker from Real Madrid in the summer.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup star struggled for playing time under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid throughout last season and that prompted his decision to leave the Spanish La Liga for the Premier League. Isco is in the same situation as he has been restricted to just two starts in all competitions this season.
Both James Rodriguez and Isco played under Carlo Ancelotti while he was the Real Madrid manager.
On the prospect of Isco joining James Rodriguez at Everton, Premier League striker Darren Bent said it's a very good move for the Toffees who are trying to break into the top four of the Premier League.
According to the former Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Aston Villa striker via the Liverpool Echo, the marquee signing of Isco would take the Merseysiders to a whole new level.
Darren Bent was quick to dismiss reservations that James Rodriguez and Isco have the same style.
Buoyed by the signing of James Rodriguez, Everton won their first seven games in all competitions before embarking on a poor run of four winless matches.
