WINLESS RUN HITS FOUR AT NORWICH

Everton are now on a four-match winless run in the Premier League after they failed to beat home team Norwich City who were at the bottom of the log by the time the two teams met at Carrow Road earlier this weekend. The Toffees produced a lacklustre performance in the first half on the way to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Norwich City.

Merseyside club Everton have had a disappointing season under new manager Rafael Benitez till date despite a vibrant start in the first eight league games this term. Everton have now won just once in the last 13 league matches under the guidance of Ex-Liverpool manager Benitez whom a lot of the fans at the club didn’t want for the job when he was appointed at the start of the season. The Spaniard was given a three-year deal and he could now be sacked after the Everton board members conveyed a meeting to discuss his position shortly after they lost 2-1 at Norwich City.

Hosts Norwich City took the lead through an unfortunate own goal from Everton centre back Michael Keane in the 16th minute off the cross from MilotRashica. The Canaries doubled their lead two minutes later via a lightning counterattack as Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams teed up fellow young player Adam Idah to score the second goal for the home team. Williams can play either as a left-back or as a right-back and he's on loan at Norwich City from the Red Devils.

Richarlison came on as a substitute at the start of the second half and he pulled one back for Everton on the hour mark on his return from a calf injury. His goal proved to be a consolation as Norwich City thereafter battled to protect their slim lead until the end of the game to climb out of the bottom as far as the Premier League log is concerned.
