Wayne Rooney Makes His View on Everton Job Clear

Wayne Rooney has suggested that he is going to return to Everton in a managerial position as the speculation over the immediate future of Frank Lampard in the role keeps growing. Presently, Frank Lampard is under severe scrutiny after failing to make considerable progress since last season's end with Toffees being in the drop zone of the Premier League after being defeated by Hove Albion and Brighton.

The players of Everton were jeered after the ultimate whistle at Goodison Park. Also, several fans have been expressing their anger against Lampard who has grappled to impress the fans since he replaced Rafa Benitez in the dugout only a year ago. He is contracted until the 2024 summer as things stand but the poor form of Everton under this guidance has led to growing calls for him to be let go in the coming days with supporters easily running out of patience.

However, it is to be seen who is going to be drafted in Lampard's place if he is released from the club shortly as Ange Postecoglu and Sean Dyche have been linked to the vacancy recently. In recent times, toffees have already been insistent that he would love to manage his former club if he ever gets the opportunity.

The present boss of DC United who had rejected the Everton job previously during his time at Derby County has stated that there are two clubs- Manchester United and Everton and he is an Everton fan. He has been a part of Manchester United for 13 years and he thinks that if he keeps doing what he is doing and keeps learning, he would love to manage those two clubs in the future.
Now, Wayne Rooney is also being linked with the Everton job.
