Ronald Koeman Happy with Everton’s Effort during UAE Training Camp

Ronald Koeman has praised his Everton team after a five-day training camp in the United Arab Emirates. The lack of FA Cup action this weekend allowed Everton to take a break from the hectic schedule.

They, along with Liverpool, jetted out to sunny regions. While Liverpool opted for a much closer set up after travelling to Spain, Everton went to the United Arab Emirates and were involved in a friendly game. The team stayed at the TheMeydan Hotel for five nights.Koeman will be hoping that the rest helps rejuvenate the squad ahead of a crucial time in the Premier league.

Everton fell seven points behind Manchester United after only managing a goalless draw with Middlesbrough last weekend. Realistically, the chances of finishing in the top six may have gone away with this result. However, Everton are still hoping that Manchester United will be able to clinch the EFL Cup and provide Europa League football to the teams finishing in the seventh spot.

Qualification to Europe, even if it is the Europa league, is extremely important for Everton if they are to keep the likes of Romelu Lukaku at the club. Manager Ronald Koeman will be taking the competition seriously if the club qualify for the Europa league next season.

“The boys showed a great attitude. It’s the end of the week and most of the players are a little bit tired but they showed a professional attitude that you want to see as a coach. I’ve liked that the most from this week.Everything has gone well and we’ve had a good week,” said the Everton manager. Everton are unbeaten in the last five games, while they take on yet another relegation threatened opponent in the form of Sunderland did next weekend. Everton have had some amazing wins in this run including a 4-0 win over Manchester City.
