EVERTON, WEST HAM WANT TO SIGN £73K-A-WEEK MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYER

Frank Lampard’s Everton and David Moyes’s West Ham United are among the clubs interested in signing Scott McTominay from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. 90min have reported that Everton, Southampton and Leicester City are keen on securing the services of McTominay. The report has claimed that West Ham manager David Moyes is a ‘confirmed fan of the player’, adding that Newcastle are ‘long-term admirers’ of the 25-year-old Scotland international midfielder, who earns £73,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

The report has claimed that the likes of Everton and West Ham are showing interest in the Scotsman as Manchester United close in on the signing of Brazil international defensive midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid. In our view, Manchester United are unlikely to let Scott McTominay leave in the summer transfer window, unless, of course, the Scotland international himself wants to leave. Yes, of course, if Casemiro moves to Old Trafford, then the Brazilian will go straight into the Red Devils’ starting lineup.

That will mean more competition for McTominay, and that could actually help push McTominay to greater heights. McTominay is a homegrown talent, and Manchester United are unlikely to sell him at the age of 25 when his best years are ahead of him. While a lot of Manchester United fans have been bashing the Scottish international star for his stuttering performances over the past few weeks, it may still not be the best decision to allow him leave the club this summer.
Unless Manchester United and ten Hag finally sign another midfielder this summer, they should still allow him stay at the club especially with the fact that they are going to be playing a lot of games this season spanning across the league, Cup competitions, and the Europa League.
