EVERTON HANDED RELEGATION BATTLE BOOST

Everton have given a big boost in their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season after all the teams in the bottom three lost their respective Premier League games this weekend. The bottom three teams will suffer demotion from the Premier League to the English Championship at the end of this season. Burnley, Watford and Norwich City are the bottom three teams in the Premier League at the moment and they all lost their league games thus providing Everton with a big boost before their away game against North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

Merseyside giants Everton are fourth from bottom on the league table at the moment, while Burnley are third from bottom. Watford are presently second from bottom on the league table, while Norwich City are the bottom team.
Everton started the weekend with a nine-point advantage over Burnley, but they could move four points clear if they are able to get a win at the home of Tottenham Hotspur.

For their league game this weekend, Burnley had the better chances in the first half of their encounter at home to Chelsea and were wasteful with the opportunities that came their way. English winger Dwight McNeil was the biggest culprit as he should have done better with the chance that came his way thanks to the error from Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, but his shot went over the bar when the Englishman could have scored if he was on target with his shot. McNeil and Burnley were punished with Chelsea scoring four times in the second half to win the game 4-0. Kai Havertz (2), Reece James and ChrsitianPulisic were on the scoresheet for the Blues.
Watford were involved in a five-team thriller with Arsenal in their own league game. The Hornets were beaten 3-2 at home by Arsenal who move into fourth spot on the Premier League log as a result. For Norwich City, the bottom team lost 3-1 at home to West London outfit Brentfordthus remaining rooted to the foot of the league table.
