BIG-MONEY PLAYER NOW SET TO FOLLOW DELE ALLI OUT OF EVERTON SOON

Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin is reportedly following Dele Alli out of the exit door as he’s set to join Trabzonspor. According to Turkish media outlet Aspor, the 26-year-old will arrive in Trabzon today, August 25, to finalise his exit on loan. The Toffees will not be getting a loan fee in exchange for his services this summer. Alli is set to join another Turkish club in Besiktas and Everton will not be paying his salary despite there being claims to the contrary.

Gbamin’s Everton career never really kicked off and he can be labelled as one of the worst signing’s in the club’s history. In 2019, there was much intrigue and hype surrounding the Ivory Coast international’s move to Goodison Park as he was addressing an important position in the squad. Per the BBC, they paid £25million to sign him from Mainz as he was seen as a replacement for Idriss Gueye who left for PSG for a slightly higher transfer fee.

However, injuries plagued his time on Merseyside and Gbamin never really got a run of games at the club to prove why they paid so much money for him. His attitude also never really seemed to help and he failed to win over any manager during his three years at the club. We’re unsure if there is an option or obligation to buy in this loan move, but the sooner he’s off the books at Goodison Park, the better it will be for everyone involved.
The signing of Alli by Frank Lampard from Tottenham Hotspur was expected to be a huge one as it was a big leap toward the possible revival of his career but things didn't go as planned at Goodison Park. The wantaway midfielder failed to impress at Everton and it was already looking very likely towards the end of last season that he could be allowed to leave the club as soon as possible.
