Fergie: Giggs will Play
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes that the recent injury-enforced rest enjoyed by Ryan Giggs will stand the veteran Welshman in good stead for the remainder of the season.
Giggs suffered a minor break to his arm a month ago but Ferguson has confirmed that he will back in action in time to face Liverpool next weekend.
"Ryan will be fit for the Liverpool game," Ferguson confirmed to reporters on Friday.
"His performances in training have been fantastic. He is getting another plaster on today but we will be getting a fresh player back, which is good."
Ferguson also revealed that the midfielder's comeback had been carefully planned and he expected him to be a real asset as the season neared its end.
"For weeks we had to try and work out the best games for him to play in, in terms of freshness and rest," the Scot added.
"Now he has had a month's rest."
